Eric Winsberg is British Academy Global Professor of History and Philosophy of Science at the University of Cambridge and Professor of Philosophy at the University of South Florida. His main research interests lie in the philosophy of science, the philosophy of physics, the philosophy of climate science, and the role of models and simulations to guide policy, especially in climate and public health. He is the author of Science in the Age of Computer Simulation, Philosophy and Climate Science, and coauthor of Scientific Models and Decision Making, and is featured in the short film Moral Models: Crucial decisions in the age of computer simulation.
