After a brief publishing break, we’re back with some exciting updates

Dear Friends of Collateral Global,

First, we want to take a moment to say ‘Hello!’ after a brief summer publishing break.

While we did slow down content production a bit, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes and have some new developments to share with you.  We hope you’ll find them as promising as we do.

  • First, our Research Team has been hard at work on a new piece of research – a rapid review – which is on track to be published in the next month or two.  Please be on the lookout for that announcement in the coming weeks.
  • Second, we have completely redesigned our website to accommodate even more content from our ever-expanding network of contributors. We’ve also improved our functionality and accessibility by adding searchable content types and tags and offering related content on the home page. We have some tremendous editorials, stories, and analysis planned for publishing this month so we hope you’ll check back in with us often.
  • Third, we’re happy to announce that Collateral Global is now a registered charity in the UK. This not only allows up to put much more of the money you donate to us toward our mission (instead of being spent on taxes, etc..) it allows our Scientific Advisory Board to be singularly focused on research and communication while our organizational management will be overseen by a Board of Trustees.

And, lastly – the update we find most exciting:

Today we are launching a first-of-its-kind crowdfunder aimed at publicly funding research into the effects of lockdown harms across the globe.

It is our aim to make this the largest, publicly-funded scientific research project ever completed.

We hope you’ll visit our JustGiving page and consider donating.

The last 18 months have affected every single one of us and that means that Collateral Global is not just our project – it is the world’s. Funding by countless small donations would send an incredibly powerful message about why this work is important and – more importantly – who it’s important to.

Because the answer is, ‘All of us’.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out.  We are glad to be back in touch with you and look forward to growing this project together.

With kind regards and gratitude,

The Collateral Global Team
