Peter Flynn

Peter Flynn has taught in schools, prisons and zoos in China, Peru and Madagascar. He has also worked as a reporter for the BBC: his reports from the Galapagos and the Rio Carnival were broadcast on Radio 4’s Excess Baggage.

 

During the CV19 pandemic he wrote for the Times of Malta, and his accounts of teaching nightmares were featured in The Times Education Supplement, and on Radio 4’s Itchy Feet.

tank magazine has showcased his flash fiction, and his story The Words won the 2021 Together prize.

 

Peter Flynn also writes for the theatre. In 2006 he produced The Girls, a story of murder at an ice hockey game in Stalinist Russia, at the Courtyard Theatre in King’s Cross, and more recently his play The Trouble with Women won a one act drama competition in Malta.

 

His Agent Charlie reports ran on the Malta Association of the Blind website and at A Father’s Place, where he was Writer in Residence. Peter Flynn has performed at festivals and events around the UK.
