Moving back home

In August 2021 my wife and I left New Zealand to return to the UK. We had been living there for 7 years and in Christchurch for a year. But the ongoing draconian border controls meant we had not seen our daughter (based in the UK) for 20 months. And we had zero clarity from the government when the border controls would be lifted. So we decided to return to the UK. I resigned my job, we sold our beautiful house and we left numerous friends and returned to the UK.
